I planed as little as I could off this "top of the pile" cherry in order to retain as much of the silvering and mill marks as possible while carefully exposing the beauty within. It took several years of sun, snow and rain to turn this board silver. I could remove all of it with one pass throuugh the planer if not careful. Perfectly imperfect. Exudes Wabi-sabi.
